• Mr. Stone's Algebra 2 for Seniors
  • Mr. Stone's Algebra 2
  • This course will cover many topics, including functions and graphs, polynomials, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, analytic trigonometry, parametric equations, polar coordinates, vectors, and sequences and series. Upon successful completion of the course the student will understand many different types of functions and how those can be used in problem solving, understand how to work with exponential and logarithmic functions, understand concepts of trigonometry and their applications, and become proficient in problem solving.
  • Geometry fun for the 2010/2011 school year. In this course we will take a look at many different aspects and applications of shapes and logic. We will discover, explore, and most of all learn how to problem solve.
  • Mr. Stone's Summer Honors Algebra 2
  • Mr. Stone's Algebra 1B Independent Study 5 Weeks
  • This is a course that applies all previous content learned in algebra 1, 2, and geometry. You will be well-prepared to take either an honor's pre-calculus or college-level calculus course after you graduate from Moreau.
  • This course will prepare the student to take the advanced placement examination in calculus AB. Topics covered include functions, limits and continuity, differentiation and integration techniques, and applications of these.

    The students will

Understand the definition of limits, derivatives, and integrals.

Apply the process of differentiation to problems involving rates of change, maximum and minimum problems and curve sketching.

Use the techniques of integration to find areas of regions, volumes of solids of revolution, and rates of natural growth and decay.

Develop problem-solving strategies by solving problems of a challenging nature.
